Water For Elephants, it's the title of this huge romantic story, coming out tomorrow on the big screen. As the principal protagonists, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson, the hero of the Twilight saga who still brings out crowds. He was welcomes by hundreds of fans at the Paris Premiere.

Wherever he goes, it's the same, Robert Pattinson causes hysteria at the premiere of his latest movie, Water For Elephants.

Rob: That was crazy. That was the biggest and most incredible we had on this international tour.

The audience, especially the female one worship him since his vampire role in the Twilight saga. Water For Elephants should make them melt again, with another romantic role. An impossible love story set in the 1930s.

Rob: It must be my thing. It's so weird because in real life, I'm not really romantic. I'm just a normal. I'm not that sensitive to things.

It's true that sometimes he can border on rudeness when he reveals that on the set, he only had eyes for the female elephant. The other star of this movie.

Rob: She's one of the nicest women I've ever met.

Robert Pattinson has an excuse, he loves animals, and since the movie is set in a circus he met more than one. Including a lion for an impressive scene where he gets bitten by it.

Rob: I was just about to put my arm inside the cage when the lion's trainer asked us if my fake arm was on me. When we said yes, he told us the lion is trained to bite and drag the limb inside the cage. I said: 'What?' It was literally 2 seconds before I did it. It was terrifying.

Everybody stays calm, Robert Pattinson wasn't harmed. The lion and the others animals as well.

The movie of the week is without any doubt Water For Elephants. A romantic tale set during the Depression in a circus. We can find the beautiful Robert Pattinson hired in a circus troop, who's going to fall in love with the captivating star of the show, Reese Witherspoon, who's promised to the head of the circus, played by Christoph Waltz.

A dangerous love triangle.

Rob: Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl ... who loved. Why is my French accent so bad now?


NRJ: Oh it's not that bad, Rob. Three talented actors, all reunited under a big top, surrounding the star of the circus, an elephant.


Reese: We all tried to be her friend. She was super, she was amazing. I worked with her for five months to practise our routine.

In the movie, Rob is allowed to kiss Reese. We took that chance to give us a lesson on movie kisses.

Rob: Love scenes where we kiss feel easy to me. There's really only one way to do it. You can just do your thing. It sounds like I do porn, you know I do it and that's it. *laughs*

During the casting process, Robert Pattinson was in competition with Channing Tatum and Emile Hirsch. Sean Penn was supposed to play August Rosenbluth, the role went to Christoph Waltz. After Scarlett Johansson turned down the role of Marlena, it's Reese Witherspoon, as a big fan of the book, who decided to join the adventure.

Reese: This sort of work is enjoyable. And I'm talking about the artistic and physical work that doesn't have such a big place in Hollywood anymore. Everything is CGIed now.

Christoph: Someone asked me in Germany the three main reasons why young people should go see this movie. Because it's a tale, a classic. And that's the main reason.

NRJ: A trinity of actors for a story that will make you hold your breath for two hours. If for you the three ingredients of a good movie are, the casting, the love story and a beautiful scenery then Water For Elephants is a smashing hit.

Nikos: We met Robert Pattinson with Mustafa, all three of us. Did you like him, Karin?




Karin: What I liked about him... you mean physically? Because what I liked the most was that he was so simple. He came with his can of Coke and started smoking at the window. He talked with us like we were friends.



Nikos: You wanna be friends with him, yes.



Karin: What shocked me was the role that made him famous, the vampire role. He's so pale. He's really white.



Nikos: It's normal, he's a vampire.

He wasn't alone, he was with Reese Witherspoon, who's not that hot really but she's really nice. She's a great actress, I mean she got an Oscar.

Soon we will talk with him about French artists, French actors that he knows and would like to work with. We played the Taboo game with him. You'll see that he has a sense of humor. We also talked about his movie projects, the scripts he refused and if he regrets some.



Mufasa: It was a nice interview.

Where did you put your Oscar, Reese?



Reese: In my living room.



Karin: Does it change everything or does it cause problems when you get one?



Reese: No, I mean, I think it's helpful in some ways. Some directors think of you in a way they didn't before.



Nikos: What kind of prizes do you have in your living room, Rob?



Rob: I have, like, a little badge from a film festival, for a movie I did years ago. It's like Germany gets a birthday badge...



Reese: That's your I.D. badge.



Rob: I have a sticker that says: 'You're the best.' My mom wrote it.

Nikos: He's really nice. It's the second time we met him.



Mufasa: He's cool.




Nikos: His new life was all written. He wanted to be a veterinarian, he was finishing his studies but unfortunately something happens, we won't tell you what, that will change his life. He's going to end up in a circus, he's going to live with animals.


Everytime we meet him, we try to warm him up, because he took French classes at school, back in England.



Mufasa: The movie is titled, Water For Elephants, right?



Nikos: Yes, there's and elephant that follows them throughout the whole movie. The movie was so moving. I cried like a baby. I'm a fan. You did too, right?



Mufasa: I cried a lot.



Karin: It makes me laugh when you say that.



Mufasa: Let's keep going *laughs*



Nikos/Karin: He slept at the end. He was tired, he didn't sleep for two days. It's the problem when you go see movies in the morning.

We laughed with Pattinson, we asked him about his French and he knew some words. He always said: 'Je parle un petit pois.' *laughs*



[note: 'petit pois' means a pea, he's supposed to say 'un petit peu' = a little.]



It was our first question when we met him in a Parisian hotel with the famous oscarised actress. We asked how it was to film and spend so much time on set with an elephant and animals.



Rob: 'Un petit pois.' *laughs*



Nikos: You weren't afraid she might trample you?



Mufasa: Elephants kill more men than sharks.



Reese: Oh yeah, she's very big. She's 9000 pounds, she's 12 feet tall. 12 feet?



Rob: Noooooo. She's like 9 feet.



Reese: She's 9 feet something, it's crazy. She could crush you if she wanted.



Nikos: It's a family movie, right?



Rob: EVERYBODY SHOULD GO!



Nikos: It's a romantic movie, where nothing is hidden. It's hard for you, isn't it? You lose everything like that and then you end up randomly in a circus.



Rob: Yeah, it's a very shocking beginning. It happens very, very quickly.



Nikos: Could you live in a circus?



Mufasa: With a bearded lady? Like Susan Boyle?



Rob: *laughs* OMG, she doesn't have a beard anymore, she got rid of it.



Karin: She has an amazing voice.



Nikos: You guys don't have an entertainer's life either. You're always travelling, you're rarely home. Always on the spotlight.



Rob: Yeah, I mean, it's easier for actors. For one thing, you're doing press, that's the only time it's really crazy.



Nikos: You're getting beat up in this movie.



Rob: I always get beaten up in movies. We had to do additional stuff to had me hitting, cause we did ... the first cut I saw of the movie, I get beaten up about ten times and I don't even throw a punch. Christoph is literally sitting on top of me, punching me in the face.



Nikos: Girls like that.



Mufasa: You're going aound the world right now. Do you ever think of who you'd like to work with?



Rob: Romain Duris, he's one of my favorite actors.



Reese: Guillaume Canet.



Karin: Marion Cotillard, maybe?



Reese: Oh yes!



Mufasa: Are they roles you refused that you now regret?



Reese: There are jobs I didn't get that I really wanted.



Nikos: Which ones?



Reese: I really wanted to do Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, from Baz Luhrmann. It broke my heart.



Nikos: What about you Rob?



Mufasa: Juliet too?



Rob: *laughs* yeah, there are always things. There always seems to be stuff. Like you think that you're not really right for something and then, ... so you don't go in and then someone wins an Oscar for it.



Nikos: You can never know those things in advance. Last question, are you happy?



Reese: Ouais [lol that's Yeah in slang/French]



Mufasa: 'Un petit pois.'



Nikos: Thank you so much. You guys are very cool.

Reese: He wears weird socks. Sometimes you say nonsensical things like: 'My lips are falling out.'

Rob: I don't even know if it's appropriate or not but I had a birthday party like a while ago on my birthday. And we just stared working together (..) It was just like eight people. It wasn't like a massive party. And Reese said, 'yeah, I'll come.' Then it got later, later and later. It was like two in the morning or something. Reese suddenly turns up with 12oz of Vodka.



Reese: I brought lots of Vodka.



Rob: I thought she was going to turn up at seven o'clock in the evening and just be like, 'Hey, Happy Birthday.' Reese is a heavy drinker.



Reese: I'm very generous with my alcohol.

>Frederick: Here we are today with the movie of the week, Water For Elephants. I met the beautiful blonde who worked hard on this movie. Things getting done by themselves, right, Reese?

Reese: Yes, I trained for almost 5 months to familiarize myself with the circus world/work. But it was really fun. Everyday, I told myself how ml lucky I was to do this as my work.

Frederick: Couldn't agree more. The heroes of the movie will be with us until 9am. This was Reese Witherspoon for Water For Elephants.


Frederick: There's this guy named Robert Pattinson who, between two flying trapezes, an elephant and a radiant Reese, will find his way. The story takes place in a circus, and I asked Robert what he thought of teh atmosphere on the set and what happened backstage. The answer now.

Robert: It was a relaxed atmosphere. Usually, on movie's sets like Twilight, we had a specific and closed relaxing area, you have cameras and crew everywhere. Here, it was really fun and...

Frederick: That is cool, and it's going to be cool to watch.

Frederick: In the movie, Robert Pattinson loses his parents and his bearings as well, but all of the sudden, he gets a new start, thanks to a train. Our British boy doesn't forget his royal England, its new princely couple and his buses.

Robert: I remember when I was younger and still living in London, I had to take the bus to get around. Then, I told myself, in the future, I will only ride in cabs, even to go to the grocery store. With my career, it's been 3 years, maybe 5 since I took teh bus. I look at them with nostalgia now. I love public transportation.

Frederick: This Rob fella is pretty nice.

Frederick: You're going to love this movie. It comes out Wednesday.

Reese trained for 5 months to tame the animals ... and men.


Reese: I thought it was a really interesting role to play. A woman in the 1930s. She had no education, no family, her husband was her onlt way out. She didn't have the choice. I liked the idea to be in the shoes of a woman who would risk everything for another man.


Frederick: I asked Robert how he choses his scripts, whether it was for movies like Twilight or this one.

Robert: I always send scripts to my parents because I like their ideas, but it's funny how sometimes they have really strange opinions. I have very few people that I care about on whether they like something I plan on doing or not. It's just my family and a small group of friends. I can awlays tell whether something is really good or not by their reactions.

Frederick: Hi Rob, you're here with us, right?

Robert: Hello, I'm Robert Pattinson. I'm here with Frederick Ferrer on Chérie FM.


Frederick: I asked them, since she's American and he's English, about French kiss. Definition of the word by Reese first.

Reese: A kiss with tongue *laughs*.

Frederick: Okay, okay. Rob?

Robert: I don't know because a lot of people think a french kiss is a kiss that is way too much.

Rob: "I didn't realise it would get to me this much, really warming to see, I didnt think it would interest me, they're just two normal people, it's nice to see. It's dascinating how people talk about them."


*Laurent: "Did you need to do something different after Twilight? To escape that type of role/genre?"

Rob: "I don't think so but what worried me was that people would accept me or not as this character (WFE)".


*Laurent: "What did Francis do to help you with believing that you were working in a circus during the Depression?"

Rob: "Francis and the crew did an amazing work to make the setting authentic. It was so easy to believe we were in the 30s."


*Laurent: "You finished filming the last Twilight movie recently, was it easy to turn the page? Are you scared for the ~after?"

Rob: "Not really, I filmed all those movies right after the others, I'm relieved but I don't feel like making another one now. I can't pretend to look 17 anymore."


*Laurent: "[Didn't catch what he asked him there]"

Rob: "You have to adapt to new cirscumstance, life is always changing".


*Laurent: "Do you also have time to fall in love?"

Rob: "*laughs* yes I think there's always time for that."


*Laurent: "You're going to be in Bel Ami next?"

Rob: "It's one of my favorite books. [Then he said something about it being weird that it was a French book but they had to adapt it in English.
