It happened to one fan in Berlin, and Bravo.de documented it on video for all of us to see! (we'll post the translated article when/if we get it, but it's really all in the video).
Thanks dropsoflife!

All Samantha wanted was to meet Rob when he visited Australia. The Starlight Children's Foundation made it happen. Read more on the meet-up and learn about the organization that helped Samantha achieve her dream :) - a bit more of her story over at Let Me Sign.
Rob is also involved in trying to protect children from sex traffickers. Read what he did for that cause.
Thanks for the tip Labori2.

We've done a rough translation for you.

I always joke with my friends that if I were face to face with Rob, I would not pass up the opportunity to ask him to marry me. After watching on TV that the premiere was scheduled to begin at 7:15 in the evening, I thought the stars would start arriving at around 6:30 pm, but then the time arrived and Robert did not appear at all. Other local celebrities began to walk down the famous red carpet, then around 6:50, Reese Witherspoon appeared very fresh with her beautiful green dress, and gave interviews to local media.
At around 7:05, we heard many, many screams and knew the beautiful and wonderful Robert Pattinson had finally arrived. He wore a light blue suit, breaking the dark suit look of his previous premieres. He's super shy, very shy actually. He began to talk to the press and after a few minutes of doing official photos he began to meet with fans standing near the press area.
I was still quite a distance from where he was, and I thought that I would not have the opportunity to speak with him, since he walked with a lot of security guards hired for the event, and of course his personal bodyguard Dean, who was at the other side of the red carpet in front of where I was. At the time I thought, "I will not get it, oh my God."
But after he took several photos with people I screamed at him, and showed him a Brazil shirt with the number 10. Astonished, he walked over to where I was. At that time I did not know what was really happening, he said "Hello" and I asked him to sign my shirt, and as he did, I gathered my courage and asked him "Will you marry me?" and right then I accomplished my dream of asking Robert Pattinson to marry me. He simply smiled and did not respond, which was a shame. In the end I asked him to take a picture with me, and adorably he said "of course."
By the way, when it was time for the long awaited photo, my friend was not at his best to take the picture, so the one I took came out okay, Rob was charming, with flushed cheeks and said thank you, looking straight at me!
I was very lucky to have seen him here in Australia, because the public behaves, it's not the hysteria that exists in other places, everyone was happy to see him, but not as hysterical as in other parts of the world. Fans need to realize that he is very simple and shy, was very courteous to all, took many pictures, went through the red carpet on both sides trying to reach the maximum number of fans, always smiling.
Thanks for sharing Barbara!
A few more new pictures from fans at the premiere that night.
These come with another cute fan encounter.
The New Zealand Herald had a chance to sit down with Rob prior to the release of Water for Elephants, and what followed was a refreshing interview with a genuine feel of what Rob is all about.
On the Breaking Dawn birth scene:
"It was insane, intense," he says of the scene, explaining that Edward can either lose Bella or give her a bite and thus immortality. "It was a pretty traumatic scene for me to do as an actor and, frankly, horrible for me emotionally. Edward has tried for so long not to turn Bella into a vampire and now ... well, it's very sad. He feels like he has let her down."
About his modeling days:
"I was a terrible model," he says. "I hated having to be skinny enough to be one of those little waif guys and I wasn't a beefy, gym guy either," he said. "So I was stuck between the two types and I never got any jobs."
His new found love (Bear):
"I'm really enjoying looking after him and he'll come everywhere with me now, wherever possible."
Read the entire interview at the New Zealand Herald. You don't want to miss it!
Scott MacDonald who plays 'Blackie' in Water for Elephants,' recently talked about his experience during filming, and working with Rob:
MacDonald describes Oscar winner Witherspoon as a courageous actor and a very sweet human being. Waltz, also an Oscar winner, is a soft spoken, highly intelligent guy, according to MacDonald.
He says “Twilight” star Pattinson is a genuinely great guy.
MacDonald gets in a number of fights with Pattinson in the film and says both of them were pretty bruised up, but Pattinson didn’t complain once.

Carina attended the Water for Elephants premiere in London, and shared with us her pictures and videos from that day.
I booked my London trip in late January. From May 2nd, to May 8th, with my family. Then in March/April I found out that Robert Pattinson would be attending the Water for Elephants premiere there on May 3rd, MY BIRTHDAY! I cannot tell you how happy I was then. I tried not to be too excited, since I knew we couldn’t stand in line at Westfield all day long. I did take with me a picture and a WFE book, though. And then we arrived in London late on the 2nd. On the 3rd we went to Westfield at 10, to do some shopping before the premiere. At 3:30pm we went to see how it looked; because a friend of mine told we should come to were she was. And I am very glad we did. We had to stand there for 3 hours before the premiere started, and Rob arrived. And holy crap, is he beautiful in person. We (my sister and I) had a very good spot, only one person in front of us. And we stood opposite the press people. And then suddenly Rob was there. In front of me! And he signed both my picture and my book :D I didn’t get to look at him much, which I regret, because we left right after he had signed for me. People were pushing so much; I couldn’t stand there anymore. I did not get a picture with Rob, but I don’t really mind that :) It was the best birthday present I could ever get.
I did, however, get a few pictures of him :) They aren’t that good, because it wasn’t possible for me to stand still. My sister also got a couple of videos, which I love :) I am today sharing these with you, but with my tag on, because, well, they are mine :) And I would like it very much if you do not post these without letting me know first. Thank you :)
(FYI, I am not in any of these pictures/videos and I am not saying anything in them either.)

She also had a cute story to tell:

Lynne's experience via Pattinsonladies:
I won a meet and greet competition with MTV UK not the Graham Norton show (I had tickets for the graham norton show). My prize was accommodation at the HIlton in Kensington with private transport arranged to get me to a 5* hotel in Mayfair to meet Robert Pattinson personally. It was a group photo only due to time constraints but I stood next to Rob and spoke with him briefly afterwards. He asked me if I was going to the premiere and after I told him I had seen the movie, he asked me what i thought of it. I told him I thought it was brilliant and that he was amazing in it. My friend and i were able to give Rob a birthday gift of an autographed Van Morrison CD of Brown Eyed girl and a birthday card which he was overhwhelmed to receive. He said "wow, that's absolutely amazing, thank you so much" and gave my friend Jackie the best hug. After the meet and greet we dashed off across London to be in the audience at the filming of the Graham Norton show, where we had the joy of watching Rob on the stage before our eyes for over an hour. What a day!
Thanks for sharing Lynne :)
Lisa Howard plays Siobahn (Irish Coven) in Breaking Dawn, and she recently talked to Broadway World about what it was like to work with Rob:
PC: What was it like working with Robert Pattinson? You are a Broadway baby, so you can spot it: does he have the goods?
LH: Yeah, he does. He's great. And, he's really nice and he's professional and easy to work with. He's just great.
Read the rest, including details on Lisa's audition.. that just happened to be a scene with Edward. ;)
How cute is papa Edward gonna look?!..

We've learned the girl in the photo is actually actress Alex Rice who plays Sue Clearwater in the films.
Here's yet another picture that proves the point. And if you still have doubts, check out these galleries.
Even in Argentina, Rob is being talked about for participating in the latest charity auction to visit the set of Breaking Dawn and fans getting a chance to meet him. Basically they are just giving the details on the auction. So what are you waiting for?.. minimum bid is now $62,500. It is for charity :)
