After much speculation, The Playlist is reporting that the role of of Elise (Eric Packer's wife) in Cosmopolis will be played by Sarah Gadon:
Known in Canada for the television series “Are You Afraid of the Dark?,” Gadon currently stars on the CBC drama, “The Border.” More importantly she has already worked with Cronenberg landing a smaller role in the filmmaker’s already-shot “A Dangerous Method” where she plays Emma Jung, Carl Jung’s wife. That picture stars Michael Fassbender, Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley and Vincent Cassel.
Gadon will be playing the role of Pattinson’s estranged wife Elise Shifrin.
Read the rest at their site.
The Hollywood Reporter adds a few more key details, including where they will film in Toronto and who will handle film distribution in Italy and Canada:
Cosmopolis is set to shoot in west Toronto at Cinespace’s Kipling studio facility.
Entertainment One will release Cosmopolis in Canada, while RAI Cinema SpA will distribute in Italy.
Rob confirmed that Samantha Morton was attached to Cosmopolis, and today we learned that she'll play Vija Kinski according to the official Cosmopolis site. Production is scheduled to begin at the end of May.

Cosmopolis producer Paulo Branco confirmed to Screen Daily that Juliette Binoche is now part of the cast:
Binoche seems like a good match for this unique film and Rob. Clap Filmes confirms she will be playing the role of Didi Fancher. They also have a link to what looks like the official site for the film, currently under construction.
He [Branco] also said that there was now a confirmed shooting date for David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis (sold by Kinology but produced by Branco) of May 24. Paul Giamatti and Juliette Binoche have also joined the cast.
According to PattinsonStew, C7nema is reporting that Mathieu Amalric has joined the cast as well. Composer Howard Shore who's worked with Cronenberg in the past, is reportedly also attached - and slashfilm guesses he's not the only one coming back:
The site further announces, via production company Alfama Films, that Howard Shore will score the film and Peter Suschitzky will shoot it. Both of those men have worked with David Cronenberg constantly (Peter Suschitzky has shot all the director’s features since Dead Ringers; Howard Shore has scored all his features since The Brood, with the exception of The Dead Zone) and it would be more remarkable if they were not on board. But it’s great to know they’re back — I’d guess that Carol Spier will work as production designer and Denise Cronenberg will be the costumer, too.As of now filming is set to begin May 24 in Toronto, and at some point move to New York. C7nema adds that filming will last for nine weeks.
News is moving fast on Rob's next project, and we'll be here to bring you the very latest! - in the meantime you may want to freshen up on Cronenberg's work in a great Cosmopolis preview by Indiemoviesonline.

Apparently this is the Cosmopolis poster shown to the press and potential distributors at Cannes last year, when Colin Farrell was still attached to star in the film. Now that Rob has taken over the role, it will be interesting to see the marketing approach. If reports are correct, production will begin in Toronto in May. In fact Paris Match says filming will begin May 23, and that was further confirmed by Cosmopolis co-producer Alfama Films which also added Rob to the promotional page on their site (or check it out below).

The President of the Rio Film Commission has finally confirmed that Breaking Dawn production is headed to Rio (google translate version):
Dawn will be shot in Rio in November. With full support of the Rio Film Commission. For security reasons I can not say when and where.
The Mayor and Governor Eduardo Paes Cabral directly engaged to enable the filming of Dawn in the River Plate Gol!We'll keep you posted as more information comes in! - Thanks Sergio (@ssl_RioFilme).
An estimated investment of U.S. $2 million into the economy of Rio seems all right to come and Dawn team is filmed here.
Can not say anything else. I count on your understanding. I think Rio is consolidating as a destination for international productions!
All security measures will be taken to ensure a smooth shoot. The City Council and Gov. of the State will provide needed support.
Things seem to be moving right along, as Breaking Dawn production gets ready to roll in Louisiana. First up, a fan's pictures of the Cullens home being built inside a Baton Rouge studio.

Finally, Hollywood Life claims the cast already had their first official dinner in Louisiana last week and the site shared some of the alleged details:
Our source tells us that the film’s director Bill Condon rented out a private room at Fleming’s Steakhouse and there were about 30 people in attendance, including Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, and Nikki Reed.
And our insider tells us that the cast got to the restaurant around 8:30 PM and stayed until 11 PM! The stars had a full five-course meal and ate everything from Prime NY Strip steak, crab cakes, soup, salad and they even had “fresh redfish” flown in especially for the occasion! They finished their meal with a choice between fresh berries, cheesecake, and creme brulee. There you go!.. we can't wait for production to officially get underway next week. Look for updates as we get them.

Why do we sense Lubbock all over again?
Per WBRZ:
At least the news didn't break right then. And he does look really cute riding a bike.
Per WBRZ:
Workers at Capitol Cyclery on Essen Lane confirmed that Robert Pattinson, who plays the vampire Edward in the films, visited the store over the weekend and bought a new bike.
An employee said Pattinson "wasn't there to be a big celebrity" and that they had received other calls about the visit. "It's getting a bit out of hand," the employee said.
