Michael Fassbender recently talked with The Times (UK) about fame, and Rob came up in the conversation:

So how does it feel to be on the launch pad of global fame? So far he has managed to protect his below-the-radar life. Working with Brad Pitt, he witnessed the downside: “A young female fanbase is the toughest to slip and slide away from,” he says. “I don’t suppose Robert Pattinson could just stroll down to Tesco without getting mobbed. It is nice to be able to go out and continue to observe people, a luxury as an actor".

British actor Alex Pettyfer mentioned Rob in a recent interview promoting I Am Number Four:

Everyone's saying 'I am number four' resembles Twilight
There are things that are similar between the two films and then those that are different.

You are touted as Britain's next Robert Pattinson!
All I can say is, he is a good looking guy!

Well played Mr. Pettyfer, well played..

According to Contact Music, Access Hollywood has offered Love Hewitt a spot on the Breaking Dawn premiere red carpet as their correspondent. Her reaction?

Thrilled Hewitt screamed and said, "Are you kidding? Really...? Oh my God... This is amazing... I'm gonna get (vampire) teeth... I'm gonna get him (Pattinson) to sit on my lap."

As you probably know by now, the star has mentioned she's a big fan of Edward and would love to meet Rob. Read the rest at Contact Music or watch below (starting at about 2:34).

Good for Jennifer :)

Yes, most of the world knows about Twilight. And then there's Colin Firth (1:15).

Little Kiernan Shipka told Movieline she is a fan of Justin Bieber, but Rob tops her crushworthy list:

“I love Twilight. I like Robert Pattinson. I love Justin Bieber. I don’t think I have Bieber fever though. I’m more of a Twilight person.”

So that's only, what?.. 15 million other fans she's now joining in the 'We Think Rob is The Man' list? Welcome to our cozy little group!

Ben Barnes spoke to Examiner while promoting the latest Narnia sequel, and he was asked about the role that got away:

Speaking of playing vampires, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke says you were one of the final four actors to be considered for the role of Edward Cullen. We all know that Robert Pattinson ended up getting the role, but what were your "Twilight" auditions like?

There were quite a few auditions. I was the first person they kind of approached about it. It was all right. I very quickly read the first ["Twilight"] book. I really enjoyed it. I think Kristen Stewart is great. I think she’s a really good actress. And I really like Catherine Hardwicke.

But then there were two things: First off, they didn’t want to mix "Narnia" and "Twilight." I think it’s dangerous to mix characters from franchises while you’re doing one. So she definitely didn’t want Prince Caspian being Edward Cullen. It doesn’t make sense. And secondly, I’d still be shooting at age 30, playing 17, and nobody wants to see that. That would be kind of sad.

And course you wouldn’t want the kind of craziness with fans and paparazzi that Robert Pattinson has to deal with in his life.

Rob and Kristen's names came up during the Sydney premiere of Love & Other Drugs:

The pair were introduced as the "hottest young couple in Hollywood" and Anne joked that when she heard that she thought they were going to introduce Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!

Thanks PattinsonStew.

Reese also brought up Water for Elephants, and the moment she was told about her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

James of course, was all about Twilight (at about 3:00).

It was an extreme analogy but it got the point across. Recently Coldplay's Chris Martin spoke to Q magazine about what it would be like to be invited to participate in a popular music festival (Glastonbury).. his answer?

That’s like getting asked to dance by Robert Pattinson if you’re a young girl. Imagine if Robert Pattinson called and asked, 'Do you want to touch my balls?'.”

We don't know what's more disturbing, Chris knowing the impact Rob has on girls or us thinking it was a brilliant analogy. ;)

While talking to People Magazine, the popular TV host was asked what he would do if he had been named Sexiest Man Alive:

"First, I make my apology calls to Clooney, Pitt, Depp and Pattinson. The others take it well, but Pattinson cries like a little girl. I make a mental note to send him chocolates and a cashmere blanket"

While talking to Ace Showbiz, Mark Salling mentioned Rob:
Now that you’re a big star, what’s different in life then and now?

Mark Salling: (laughs) Thank you, but I’m not a big star. I still live with the same roommate in the same apartment. Go ask Robert Pattinson that question.
Mark of course a star in his own right. Good luck with the album!

It's been a busy time for actor Andrew Garfield. In addition to getting glowing reviews for his role as one of the co-founders of Facebook in The Social Network, he's also set to star as the new Spider-Man. But that doesn't mean he forgets who his real friends are:
He tells Britain's ShortList magazine, "I don't see it that way (as a competition). Rob's a friend of mine and I care about him a lot. We're very supportive of each other."

Flashback to 2008.. enjoy!

UPDATE 10/13: Added scan of exact quote via @PattinsonStew :)

During an interview with the Sunday Star Times, Sir Michael Caine had some very complimentary words about Rob and his future in the biz:

Talent-spotting is an unreliable art, but Caine still likes to have a go. He's not terribly excited by the current crop of vampire antiheroes.

"They all look the same ... very slight dark young men with very bright eyes and pale skin. But I'm sure some of them will develop into big stars – the boy [Robert] Pattinson will, I'm sure."
With an acting career that spans more than 45 years, Caine should know.. after all he was a hottie in his day and is still going strong.

We love it when stars mirror the general consensus among Rob's fans: he is not only talented..but HOT. A perfect example is Pixie Lott, who once again  has shared her fangirling side with the press:

Pixie has admitted to having a crush on Robert in the past, and thinks starring in the hotly-anticipated penultimate film in the series – Breaking Dawn: Part 1, which is due out next year – might help her snag her man.

“I’ve always wanted to get my hands on Robert Pattinson and I guess it would be fun to have my face whitened up and suck on people’s blood,” she laughed.

In our book Pixie's frequent comments puts her a step behind Jennifer Love Hewitt in the "we like them because they are relatable" list. Welcome to the club girls!

P.S. We admit we like Pixie for her voice too. Take a listen..

While chatting with JOE.ie, Shia LaBeouf compared his fame to that of Rob's..
JOE: How are you dealing with the whole celebrity status? You’ve got the fame and money. You’re dating hot British actress Carey Mulligan who you met on the set of Wall Street. You’ve got girls falling at your feet. You must be lapping it up...

Shia: As long as I stay famous for my work, it’s all good. If I mess up then I am famous for my mess up. I am the first one to admit that it makes great news when you hear that Robert Pattinson robs a bank. Vampire robs a bank. That’s fun. I am 23. I am a normal guy. I never walked into this to be Brad Pitt. The goal for me is to work with the best. And I am fortunate beyond belief. I’m not ready to mess it up for a drink. Do you know what I mean?
No offense Shia, but we hope if Rob ever does get in trouble (and we really hope he doesn't), it involves  more than a Walgreens security guard.
