Hollywood Life caught up with Michael Sheen in New York, and when they asked him about Rob, what he said frankly bothered us a little:

“I think Robert has been very clever in the way that he has tried to branch out and do lots of other different things,” Michael says. “Rob has been trying to do that while he’s been doing the Twilight series and all but I think it’s going to take a long time. I think he’ll always be Edward [Cullen] for a whole generation or maybe a few generations of people and it will be difficult to get away from that. But he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.”

Difficult to get away from that?.. we certainly hope not. Don't get us wrong we love Edward, but we hope Rob is able to be seen as more than the "sparkly vampire" simply because he's much more than that.

Billy Burke just talked to Twilightish about the end of the Twilight series.. but you'll never get him to admit what team he's really on:

Twilightish: Were you ever Team Jacob? Or do you think Charlie would have chosen Edward between the two?

Billy: I have never played that game. I suppose had I ever read the books I may have had a stronger opinion, but I just don't care. Sorry!! It's not my thing. I think Taylor and Rob are great guys but I don't get into the fantasy world of picking a favorite boy character.

He may not say.. but it's pretty obvious to us! ;)

We had posted the print article of this interview yesterday.. but apparently it got eaten by the blogger fail monster, never to be seen again. Luckily, Glamour UK has now released the video version of it. Pretty cute interview with Jamie joking around about his work with Rob in Breaking Dawn.

Chattanooga and its surrounding areas played a big part in Water for Elephants, when filming moved there for a few weeks last summer. Many of the gorgeous shots you see in the movie were filmed there, including one with Jacob and his family. A local TV station caught up with the boys that played Rob's sons, as they prepared to attend the Water for Elephants premiere in Chattanooga.  Read more.

Among the VIP's attending the premiere was Scott MacDonald, who plays Blackie in the film. He talked about Rob, and has THE CUTEST story to tell about Tai:

MacDonald, a veteran actor whose film and television credits include “Jack Frost” and several roles on the Star Trek television series “The Next Generation,” “Voyager” and “Deep Space Nine,” said he got a kick out watching the hundreds of fans who waited around the Sheraton Read House in hopes of seeing Pattinson. He also was impressed with Pattinson’s toughness.

“This kid took a lickin’ and kept on tickin’. He got all beat up and never complained,” he said.
One thing fans might want to watch for is a scene with Tai the elephant and MacDonald.

MacDonald’s Blackie character is the on-staff knee-breaker for the circus owner August. In the scene, Tai reaches out to Blackie with her trunk while holding some flowers in her mouth.

“I had actually worked with Tai in ‘Carnivale,’” MacDonald said. “Blackie is not a nice person and wouldn’t be playing with the elephant, but she kept reaching out to me during filming.

“I asked the trainer about it, and he said, ‘She remembers you. She’s flirting with you and doesn’t understand why you won’t play with her.’”

Finally, a man who got to be a roustabout in Water for Elephants shared his experience of being part of the magic, and why for him it was more than a role (really a must read for fans of the book):

"We already started to get some people last year," he said. "We had people come to get their picture taken around the cage wagon that Robert Pattinson (was next to) when his arm gets grabbed by the lion."

USA Today spoke with Reese Witherspoon about Water for Elephants, and the fame that follows Rob everywhere he goes:

"I've worked with a lot of people but I've never seen the amount of attention or paparazzi or just fans camped out on the edge of the set ever in my whole life"

She went on to describe how Rob avoids the paparazzi. Read the article at USA Today.

Jamie mentions working on Breaking Dawn, and why he's actually kinda happy not to get all the attention from Twilight fans starting at around 13:00. And make sure to catch the premiere of Camelot on Starz tomorrow. Good stuff.

Hollywood Life had a chance to chat with Rob's new costar in Cosmopolis Paul Giamatti. And he's already a big fan of Rob:

“He’s great! Absolutely love the guy!”

Giamatti also talked about the plot. Check it out at Hollywood Life. Filming is set to begin at the end of May in Toronto.

While talking to MTV last week, Rob confirmed that Samantha Morton is also attached to the film, but didn't give up the name of his leading lady. Guess we'll just have to wait for official word.
