Crossing the Blues
It's been a busy week of shoutouts to Rob, here are a few of those mentions:

AOL named him among the Most Searched For Celebrities of 2010.

R-Patz may have gotten his start in the Harry Potter series, but as any Twihard can tell you, it’s his portrayal of sexy vampire Edward in the film adaptations of the popular teen series ‘Twilight’ that skyrocketed him to success. In June, fans camped out in droves to see him in ‘Eclipse,’ the series’ third installment. In the fall, the first photos emerged of Pattinson and girlfriend/co-star Kristen Stewart on the set of ‘Breaking Dawn.’

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse came in at No. 3 as the most searched for movie

Rob also landed on Heat magazine's Rich List, coming in at #5 behind the Potter kids and Keira Knightley.

Top 10 of Heat magazine's rich list 2010 (with their estimated worth in brackets):

1. Daniel Radcliffe, 21 (£45.7m)

2. Keira Knightley, 25 (£30.1 m)

3. Emma Watson, 20 (£20.6 m)

4. Rupert Grint, 22 (£19m)

5. Robert Pattinson, 24 (£18.5m)

Let's keep the buzz going everyone!

Just like most of us, Rob used his time off to go shopping this holiday weekend. And of course he headed straight to Norman's Rare Guitars in LA. The store posted a picture on its Facebook page and added a few more details of Rob's purchase on twitter.

Rob is a regular customer at the store, and it's nice to see he had some time to unwind before heading back to Baton Rouge to resume filming Breaking Dawn.

Billy was cornered "approached" by paparazzi while taking a smoke break in LA recently. He was not only nice about it, but even answered their questions.. including whether he's Team Edward or Team Jacob (at 1:15) and much more.

You're a real trooper Billy!

UPDATE 12/2: Here's a few more interviews, one with Entertainment Weekly, where David Slade talks about the Edward scene that was planned but never shot. There's also some 3D scoop from E! Online, more from Next MovieVancouver Sun and deleted scene talk over at MovieWeb and CNN.

MTV's Next Movie blog got a chance to chat with David Slade ahead of the DVD release of Eclipse this weekend. Among the goodies they got out of him, was the scoop on the wedding that didn't happen:

We discussed a lot of the things at the script-writing stage — at one point, we were even going to shoot the wedding at the end of ["Eclipse"] but we knew there was another film coming”

Read the rest at Next Movie. So what do you guys think?.. would you have preferred to have seen the wedding at the end of Eclipse? let us know!

The LA Times also interviewed the director, and he shared details on just how long it took to finish Eclipse. He also mentioned why on the DVD, the focus was all on the fans:

"This is the only thing I've ever done that's had such a fan subculture, so with the deleted scenes I wanted to do a little justification for them," Slade said.

Slade spoke to Collider about the process of making Eclipse, and gave super fun and insightful information. A MUST READ.

Finally, Marc Malkin got Mr. Slade to talk about whether he hung out with the cast:

"All the time we spent together was working," he said. "We never hung out and had a beer. We were rehearsing. If we weren't rehearsing, we were shooting. If we weren't rehearsing or shooting, we were sleeping."

Rob has landed on mademan's list of Top 10 Most Stylish Men of 2010.

Named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world, Robert Pattinson ranks as a one of the most fashionable men of the year. If elegant grunge were an actual look, the best dressed Brit of Twilight fame would be renowned for it. With disheveled hair, tailored suits and skinny neckties, his natural sense of style is what women want.
We can all agree on that  ;)

With The Eclipse DVD release coming up this weekend, the promotion for it has gone into full gear. Today Summit released a new clip from it, featuring director David Slade.

Both Pattinson and Stewart were contacted jointly, says the source, as ABC reportedly hoped to have the Twilight superstars face off in competition.
Whether the report is true or not we can't confirm, but wouldn't that have been something..
